Sat, 23 June 2007  Another episode of "Quick 'n Dirty New Orleans." I spotted a special fundraising event that is being held from 8-11 p.m. on Saturday, June 23 at the Contemporary Arts Center. Bourbon and Burlesque--it will offer everything that you want out of an event: bourbon and specialty cocktails, a cigar bar, strolling models, food (cuisine by Bourbon House), a burlesque review and a musical performance by the Troy Sawyer Trio jazz. Best yet: it's a fundraiser for the CAC, so most of the ticket probably is tax deductible! I interviewed CAC Marketing and Public Relations Director Melissa Weber, who talked about this event, and the types of exhibits and events that are more typically held at CAC.
